Carnival Procession Route

From Crown Meadow, the procession turns left onto Abbey Road viaduct and over the Abbey Road bridge.
After the bridge, left into Waterside.
At the end of Waterside, left again to cross the river once more via Workman Bridge.
Follow the usual route through the one-way system via Mill Street, Chapel Lane and Swan Lane.
In Swan Lane there will be a brief pause, of around five minutes, to allow walking participants to catch their breath, stragglers to catch up and traffic to be cleared from the High Street.
Once traffic is clear, the procession will leave Swan Lane and turn left into High Street.
The route is then straightforward along High Street, Vine Street and Abbey Road, and finally turning left back into the meadow.
