Thank You

What a fantastic Carnival it has been! And so many people to thank for helping to make it a cracking day for Evesham and the people. It really is wonderful to see the community pulling together to create amazing floats, have such fun and celebrate our glorious town.

Vale of Evesham Round Table would like to thank our supporters for their continued support, without them, the Carnival simply wouldn’t happen, so our thanks go to Karndean Design Flooring (Principle Sponsor), A-Plan Insurance, Tesco,Evesham Town Council, Wychavon District Council, Tesco, Morrisons, Vale Family Magazine, Listers Volkswagen and Brandon Tool Hire.

Headed up by Mark Johnson (Evesham Round Table Vice-Chairman), the Carnival Committee have worked tirelessly once again over the past year to put the event together.

We would also like to thank Pat and Brian Marshall for their ongoing support both prior to the event and on the day itself, Thanks also to Gordon Eames for his work organising the Marshalls and the layout of the site, Nick Kilby for the audio systems he supplied and looked after on the day and Joseph Jones for the market and charity stalls.

Finally, a massive Thank you and Well Done to the guys from Evesham Round Table and 41 Club and the girls from Evesham Ladies Circle.

The drawing competition was a popular addition to Carnival this year, the creativity and quality of the drawings was superb. The following winners were selected by the Chairman of Ladies Circle and their prizes issued on the day:

5-8 yrs: Ava Sadler
9-12 yrs: Emma Maria Smith
13-15 yrs: Elise Alberry

Thank you to Chris and Diane Phillips of TMWI Ltd for the generous prizes.

The winners of this years Best Float competition was also a difficult decision. The judges were extremely impressed by the creativity and thought that had gone into the very colourful and very musical floats! Evesham Round Table Chairman Stuart Gilbert, Councillor Mark Goodge and County Councillor John Smith OBE awarded the following:

1st Place: The DeMontfort School
2nd Place: Vale of Evesham School
3rd Place: Evesham Adventure Playground

But a huge well done to everyone who took part!

We really hope you enjoyed the 2017 Carnival and we look forward to seeing you all again soon!
